Skinput Interface

Chris Harrison's concept is a device worn on the arm that recognises the vibrations generated by tapping your own skin. The vibrations generated at different points are unique enough that when coupled with a projector it can be used as a graphical interface. It's hard to tell if this can be refined to a point that it would be useful as a primary input for all the functionality of a phone, but it already seems very powerful as a secondary input for shortcuts.

Ekokook Green Kitchen

Concept kitchen that looks to recycle all waste as you create it. This isn't just a compost bin, there's a whole little ecosystem where anything useful is reused, and what can't be is sorted and reduced ready to process by the council. The idea is to make the process so convenient that it becomes a natural process. Click through for more details - a lot of thought has gone into it. Love the styling too.

MIT’s Digital Food Printer

I can easily imagine one in the corner of every kitchen. Overpriced food canisters that run out when you need them most, recipes that can only be downloaded from the manufacturers online food store (DRM, of course - £5.99 for a selection of Jamie Oliver dinners including one trial dessert that expires after a week. Not compatible with 1G printers, as these recipes contain new flavours), and everything tasting a bit unusual since you couldn't be bothered to service it. It's exactly what you want.

Air Umbrella

This idea strikes me as a very Dyson product - of course in it's clever use of air, but mainly as an extravagant reinvention of an everyday item. There's no mention of how it would be powered, and it's claim that it would be eco-friendly seems silly, but I suppose that's the fun of a concept. If it were possible, I'm sure people would pay for it.
