Revolutionair Home Wind Turbines

Media_httpwwwinhabita_utjle

It's really hard to filter the important from the junk when Starck lends his name to yet another product. This wind turbine made by Pramac is intended for you to use in your own backyard - provided you have enough wind of course. It's affordable, but like most home grown energy, it will take you a while before you start saving money. I've had the point made to me many times that desirability is the best way to change people's attitudes - the Starck name will certainly help here.

This is disgusting - reminder: not everything Starck designs is pretty.=)
But the twin blades model is interesting - hollow body. Does it work like the Dyson fan?
I still prefer the quiet revolution wind turbines. They are more sleek.

...and when he does something pretty it's not always good design!
They're both vertical axis wind turbines, and work using the same principle. The twin blade is easily more attractive but it's a lot less effective than the triple blade. I'm guessing Starck's aesthetics didn't lend itself as easily to this model - which is to say perhaps the functionality took a greater priority.

Maybe it looks better in motion. If they do well, there's bound to be more models.

The quiet revolution one is very elegant and looks a lot truer to it's function. I bet it's more efficient.

You just need one more and you have a beater for your eggs.
